Andre Villas Boas has threatened to walk away from negotiations with Tottenham over their vacant managerial position, according to The Guardian.
The ex-Chelsea trainer has emerged as a major candidate to replace Harry Redknapp in the White Hart Lane hotseat, as the north London club eye a youthful, enthusiastic manager.
However, it is believed that the Portuguese trainer is ready to walk away from the talks, as Spurs continue to court other potential candidates also.
The likes of Roberto Martinez and Laurent Blanc are still thought to be in the running for the post also, which has frustrated Villas Boas and give him mixed signals.
Villas Boas is also keen to confirm where Luka Modric’s future lies, as continued rumours over a move to Spain for the Croatian playmaker continue.
Daniel Levy is reluctant to sell his star man to Premier League rivals, but with Real Madrid thought to be ready to table a bid now that Modric’s Euro 2012 campaign is over, Villas Boas sees the player’s sale as a negative step.
