The former Manchester United player has been a revelation in Italy and was named the league's MVP on Friday night. The victory prompted wild celebrations in Naples as fireworks lit up the night sky.

McTominay has embraced life in Italy, and the supporters have accepted him as one of their own. A shrine to the Scotsman has been built in Naples and he has become a fan favourite in a phenomenal debut season in which he has scored 12 goals and registered six assists in Serie A. His performances, alongside fellow United castaway Lukaku, have been crucial to revitalising Napoli and firing them to the title.
