The 23-year-old was called up to England's Euro 2025 qualifiers against Sweden and the Republic of Ireland and ahead of these fixtures she was put through her paces in training. While she is a goalkeeper by trade, she showed off her free-kick skills, which were reminiscent of former England men's captain David Beckham.

Moments after curling a free-kick on the edge of the box into the top right-hand corner, the Blues keeper let out a disbelieving gasp, said, 'Oh my god', before looking at the camera and quipping, 'Bend it like Hampton', before heading off the pitch. This is a call back to the hit film Bend it like Beckham.

Hampton joined Chelsea from Aston Villa last summer, before making her debut in December 2023. She appears to have become the club's first-choice goalkeeper, ahead of Ann-Katrin Berger – who held that role for four years – and Zecira Musovic. Such is her talent, Blues manager Emma Hayes backed Hampton to become the best keeper in the world one day.
