The 32-year-old had multiple prolific goal-scoring seasons in Italy while repping the Blue and Black of Atalanta, but has slowed down in recent years. He notched just three goals in 29 league appearances in 2022-23, and in the current campaign, has two goals in 18 appearances.
For Orlando City, it's an immediate upgrade in their attack, while also adding a player who will be famous with the large Colombian population in the area. It's a win-win for both parties, and an extra body up front ahead of a very busy MLS campaign.

Muriel made his international debut at the age of 22 for Colombia, but has not appeared for his nation in an international game since 2022. He's been capped 42 times.
