Paris Saint-Germain starlet Warren Zaire-Emery has been encouraged to copy Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard by becoming a one-club man.

Zaire-Emery has established himself as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe this season, becoming a key player in PSG's engine room for Luis Enrique. The 17-year-old has 14 Ligue appearances under his belt already, along with four goal contributions, and is already being touted for a leading role at the club in the coming years.

In an interview with , PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi called on Zaire-Emery to spend his whole career in Paris, just like Gerrard did at Liverpool. "He is a Parisian. He loves the club too and also wants to stay here a long time," said Al-Khelaifi. "[Zaire-Emery] should become the Steven Gerrard of the club. He should spend his whole life here. He comes from here, he loves the club, loves the badge. He is where he is thanks to the club. He is a great boy. We have no doubts about him as a player, nor as a person… he is an example for all of the young players."

Al-Khelaifi's comments come in the wake of the news that PSG are looking to extend Zaire-Emery's contract. According to , the Parisians are hoping to get a long-term deal sorted in March — when the midfielder turns 18.
