Como boss Cesc Fabregas says Dele Alli "has to improve a lot" and he made a "serious mistake" with his red card against AC Milan.

The former Tottenham man made his first appearance for more than two years after coming off the bench in Como's Serie A clash at Milan on Saturday. But the midfielder was given his marching orders soon after coming on for a challenge on Ruben Loftus-Cheek, something manager Fabregas was very critical of.

He said after the 2-1 loss: "Milan have world-class players, they are a good team. [Dele] is a player who scores goals, at this moment he has to improve a lot and it is a serious mistake for someone of his experience. He left the team in difficulty, that is the negative thing of the evening."

The 28-year-old joined Como earlier this year after leaving Everton last December. After waiting so long for his chance, the ex-Toffees man wasted his chance to shine with a mistimed challenge. He may have to wait a while for his next chance at Como.
