Everton fans have urged their club to sign Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare after RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, via Get French Football News, reported that the Ligue 1 outfit are willing to sell him during the January transfer window.
Bouhafsi has claimed that Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are all keen on the 20-year-old, who has impressed in the centre of the pitch this season.
According to WhoScored, he has averaged 1.2 tackles and 0.9 interceptions this term, while he has shown his offensive abilities with 0.5 key passes and 1.2 dribbles in his 17 French top-flight appearances.
Everton themselves are having their fair share of problems in central midfield right now in the absence of injured duo Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin, with Gylfi Sigurdsson and Morgan Schneiderlin coming off second best against a Liverpool midfield containing two inexperienced youngsters in Pedro Chirivella and Curtis Jones at the weekend.
Despite the stiff competition they could face for Soumare’s signature, the following Everton supporters would clearly like to see director of football Marcel Brands and manager Carlo Ancelotti go for the young Frenchman.

One described him as his “preference to replace Gueye”, with the Merseyside outfit seemingly really missing Idrissa Gueye following his departure to Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, while another suggested he could be great in a double pivot with Gbamin.
Another fan suggested they should sell both Sigurdsson and Schneiderlin to fund a move for Soumare, and that could well be on the cards given The S*n has reported that Ancelotti has already decided that the duo don’t have a future at Goodison Park.
