Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be open to a return to management with either Real Madrid or Brazil after growing unhappy at Red Bull.

After leaving Liverpool last summer, Klopp cut short a sabbatical to take up a position as Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull and began work at the start of 2025. According to , Klopp is "increasingly worn out" in his new role and "his dissatisfaction has been a recurring theme" recently. The former Liverpool boss is therefore being tipped to make a return to management with either Real Madrid or Brazil.

The CBF is currently searching for a placement for Dorival Jr, with Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti and and Al-Hilal manager Jorge Jesus believed to be in the running. Xabi Alonso and Klopp have been both linked as potential options to replace Ancelotti, whose future in the Spanish capital is likely to come under further scrutiny if he fails to deliver a trophy this season. According to, sources close to Klopp have confirmed that he would only consider leaving Red Bull to take over at Brazil or in Madrid.

Klopp returning to management so quickly would be a shock, although the German did refuse to rule out taking up a future coaching role back in January.

Fans will have to wait and see if Klopp can be tempted back into coaching any time soon but the managerial merry-go-round may be in full swing this summer. Brazil will be eager to bring in a new coach for Dorival Jr as soon as possible, while the Madrid job may well come up if Ancelotti fails to deliver La Liga or Champions League titles.
