Nottingham Forest striker Lewis Grabban has come out on Twitter and quickly denied a report in The Daily Mail that he has been involved in a training ground dispute over an Achilles injury, and Reds fans have been quick to react to his comment.
The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday night that the 31-year-old is taking advice from a personal fitness coach, but that the opinions of that individual and the physios at the club have often differed with manager Martin O’Neill stepping in to mediate the situation.
The Daily Mail claim that after Forest officials questioned the extent of the former Norwich City man’s problem prior to the clash against bitter rivals Derby County, he stormed off from the Nigel Doughty academy.
The centre-forward, who has labelled the story as “nonsense” on Twitter, is the east Midlands outfit’s top scorer this season with 16 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions, but he has been absent for their previous two Championship fixtures with the current issue.
Nottingham Forest supporters took to social media to respond to their talisman’s defiant message, and while one said “they don’t have a clue” in relation to the national newspaper, another said things are “not very rosy at minute”.
