Vincent Kompany insists that Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer will make his life easier at Bayern Munich as they "always want to improve".

Kompany has batted away any suggestions that the veteran duo will not give their all for Bayern under his management this season. Muller was said to be one of the Bayern players who pushed for Thomas Tuchel to stay at the club, but the Belgian has no qualms.

Bayern went trophyless last season as Bayer Leverkusen stormed to the Bundesliga title. Under Kompany, though, they will aim to reclaim the trophy that they had made their own over the last decade.

Asked about Muller and Neuer, Kompany replied: "I have very clear ideas about what I want to achieve. It's also exciting for players like Manuel and Thomas. It's much easier to work with players like that. They have become legends because they always want to get better."
