Following intentional call-ups to James McClean and Jacob Mendy, the Red Dragons boss praised his squad for overcoming the unexpected obstacles midweek. The Red Dragons boss told the club's official media: "There’s a real togetherness around the club with both the fans and players in sync with each other. The lads really enjoy it when we have a large away following like we did at Notts County and that just adds to the occasion. We’ve played a lot of games like that, and we are used to it. We will go there confident, but respectful with a clear understanding of the game plan needed to get the result.”

After 17 matches this season, Wrexham sits on 33 points and their so-so start to the campaign is completely behind them. Ollie Palmer and Paul Mullin are firing and the club is in fantastic form. They've gone 11-straight matches without a loss, with eight of them being wins (in all competitions). The Red Dragons have not lost a match since September 23 and in total, they've only been on the wrong side of a result twice this season.
